•  Converse with your children: Talk to your children. Listen to what they are experiencing at school, in the company of those they are left with and at home.

• Gently talk to them. Though no one wishes for this to happen to anyone we know, it is wise to occasionally discuss with our children especially if we suspect that they are going through tough times at school or at home etc. 
• 
  
• A child going through a hard time is usually an easy target for child sex assaulters as they would want to take advantage of the situation.

• Teach your children about sex: To be honest, I don't think many parents do this. They feel that their child is not ready for such education. 
• 
  
• But think about it; "would you teach your child or rather an outsider teaches him/her in a bad way which will be damaging to your child?"

The key is to teach them according to their age groups. Teach them to know where is sensitive and private in their body and how to protect themselves when someone tries to touch them where inappropriate.
